Line Of Duty star Stephen Graham was almost run over after a fight outside a fight in Liverpool.
The 45-year-old actor, who played John Corbett in series five of Jed Mercurios BBC drama, was attacked alongside his dad and wife of 11 years Hannah Walters after a disagreement turned nasty.
Recalling the incident to Radio Times, Stephen began: When I was younger, me and my missus and my dad were attacked outside a pub in Liverpool
I dont like to speculate. Did I have any part to play in it? I dont really think I did.
There had been a disagreement, but I thought it was settled and left at a place of peace, a place of understanding.
He continued to the publication: And then, when we left the pub, it just suddenly happened. My dad got hit with a knuckle-duster.
Hannah has a huge scar on her leg. She actually dragged me away from the car that was going to run me over. So, I can draw upon that.
Sounds like a scene straight out of Line Of Duty, right?
Last month, Stephen revealed his struggle with dyslexia has meant that he leaves it up to his wife Hannah to pick his roles for him.
My missus actually reads the script and says whether or not Im doing it, he told the BAFTA Sessions panel.
More: Line of Duty
Shes made some good choices, Stephen added. I have to read it and read it and read it, then make it look like its the first time Im saying it.
Although Line Of Duty has left our lives, Stephen will be be back on our television screens on 15 May in brand new Channel 4 drama The Virtues alongside Helen Behan and Niamh Algar.
Line Of Duty is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
