Mike Winkeljohn slammed cancer Donald Cerrone after Cowboy defeated Mike Perry at UFC Fight Night 139.
Cerrone came out on top in a grudge match with Perry, with the the defeated welterweight confirming after their encounter his rival had broken his arm.
Perry was finished in the first round via an armbar, and Cerrone hit out again at his former coach, Winkeljohn, after a tense build-up.
Winkeljohn coaches Perry, but it was the more experienced Cerrone who was victorious. However, the war of words between the two camps is set to continue.
Where was Cowboy Cerrone the last ten years helping others at the gym? Nowhere to be found, Winkeljohn said on Instagram after the fight.
He didnt come to our classes, didnt even use Greg Jackson his last two fight camps.
When he came, he would grab sparring partners, and then he would take those sparring partners back up to his ranch, where he paid for fun, free s***.
Those guys would sometimes go up there and stay and train, and theyd lose. Hmm. Any gym owner would tell you cancer has to be removed.
Its removed. The gym has no drama. Its a happy place. Im a happy guy. With that being said, I really wish Mike Perry had not taken Cowboy down.
Anyway, if you have fighter experience, and you want to come train with the best fighters in the world and help each other – Jon Jones, Holly Holm, Michelle Waterson, Devin Clark, Bevon Lewis, Carlos Condit, Siyar (Bahadurzada), John Dodson and so many others – youre more than welcome.
If youre one of those guys that swings on Donald Cerrones you-know-what, thats weak and weird.
Cerrone accused Winkeljohn of running a puppy mill at Jackson Wink gym, and the 35-year-old took the opportunity to aim another swipe at his former coach.
My grandma went and told Winkeljohn, You should have bet on the dinosaur,” Cerrone said after beating Perry.
He knows what he did. Its all over money, too. Thats the worst part. Looks like hes still not getting paid, is he?
