The X Factor viewers were left confused during Latin week as singers were singing songs which barely had a Latin connection.
The ITV announced its theme for the second week of live shows – and although it was a new one for the show, many viewers expected singers to do actual songs hailing from the Latin world.
With songs from Ricky Martin to J-Lo on the line-up, nobody was expecting Leon Mallet to prance around on stage to Get Lucky, the hit from Daft Punk Ft. Pharrell Williams & Nile Rodgers.
Viewers were quick to hit Twitter quickly expressing their sheer confusion.
One user tweeted: ‘I didn’t know this was a Latin song’ as Leon sang.
And another added: ‘I don’t watch X Factor but how are Get Lucky, Ciao Adios and Cheap Thrills fitting in to the Latin theme – I don’t get it.’
