Matt Willis paid a sweet tribute to his wife Emma Willis after she hosted the last ever Big Brother final.

The live show went out on Monday night with Cameron Cole being crowned the winner of the final series.

It was an emotional night for Emma, who broke down in tears just seconds into the show as she gave a moving speech reflecting on the reality TV show, which began on Channel 4 in 2000.

She said: Big Brother entered our lives in the year 2000 before iPhones, IPods, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.

It brought real people from ordinary homes into our lives every single night ad creates a howl new genre of TV which changed popular culture forever.

Fighting back the tears, Emma composed herself as it all got a little too much.

She fought on: The 19 series alone have given us 1,352 days – thats 3.7 years of television – and 327 housemates. Tonight we will crown the 19th and quite possibly last champion.

I cant promise there wont be tears, she added. But we will be going out with a mighty bang.

Matt, who has been married to Emma since 2008, shared a lovely picture of the couple enjoying a kiss in the Big Brother diary room chair.

He added the message: This woman is my absolute world! This show has meant so much to her and has been a part of our life for as long as I have known her.

She has never missed an episode. We have watched Big brother on holiday, at weddings, in hospitals, in the back of cars and all over the place. Goodbye for now BBUK!

The tears didnt just stop at the final for Emma, as she later had another wobble with Rylan Clark-Neal on Big Brothers Bit On The Side.

Rylan said: You have been the biggest shoes to fill on this show and I adore you and I cant wait to work with you again.

Emma said: Thank you so much for taking my baby and raising it into a beautiful child.
