The promotions were announced today by Fox Searchlight Pictures Presidents of Production Matthew Greenfield and David Greenbaum.
Goodson-Thomas is based in London. Both Goodson-Thomas and Friedman will continue to report to Greenfield and Greenbaum in Los Angeles.

Goodson-Thomas heads up the London production team, focusing primarily on bringing British talent and material to a world-wide audience, also collaborating closely with Rebecca Kearey, President of Fox Searchlight International. She joined Fox Searchlight in 2015, and has overseen eight film productions, including Far From the Madding Crowd, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and the upcoming James Kent 2019 release The Aftermath starring Keira Knightley, Alexander Skarsgård and Jason Clarke. She is also currently in post on Yorgos Lanthimos The Favourite with Olivia Colman, Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz, and the Nicholas Hoult, Lily Collins bio-pic Tolkien directed by Dome Karukoski.
Before joining Fox Searchlight, Goodson-Thomas was a Producer, and Head of Film for Chris Coens Unanimous Pictures. Previous to that she was a Senior Production Executive at Origin Pictures.
Friedman began as an assistant in production at Fox Searchlight in 2009, and worked her way up within the production department. During her time as an executive at Searchlight, she helped oversee Three Billboards, Marc Webbs Gifted and the to-be-released films Can You Ever Forgive Me?, The Old Man & The Gun and Wendy. Friedman will also be working on upcoming projects with filmmakers Taika Waititi and Noah Hawley. Prior to working at Fox Searchlight, she worked at Paramount Vantage and di Bonaventura Pictures.
