Have you found yourself wondering where you have seen the cast of BBC’s freaky new drama Requiem before – in between getting the creeps, of course?
The spine-tingling show is about a cellist who becomes caught up in a ghostly tale linked back to her own mother and a weird, creepy house in remote Wales. It has been pretty brutal from the off, featuring two gruesome deaths in the first ten minutes of the first episode.
There are plenty of twists and turns to come, but before we get drawn in any deeper, here’s where you might recognise the cast from.
Lydia Wilson – plays Matilda Gray
Lydia, who stars as heroine Matilda Gray, has had roles in Ripper Street as theatre owner Mimi Morton. She also appeared in Keira Knightley-starrer Never Let Me Go in 2010, and Black Mirror episode The National Anthem.
Joanna Scanlon – plays Janice Gray
Joanna plays Matilda’s mother Janice who encouraged her cellist daughter’s musical talent. You might recognise her from comedy The Thick Of It as Terri and Channel 4 cop drama No Offence as DI Vivienne Deering.
Brendan Coyle – plays Stephen Kendrick
Brendan has appeared in Starling and Lark Rise To Candleford, but he is best know for playing John Bates in Downton Abbey.
Joel Fry – plays Hal
Joel, who plays Matilda’s best friend Hal, starred in ITV2 comedy Plebs, and HBO show Game Of Thrones as Hizdahr zo Loraq.
Tara Fitzgerald – plays Sylvia Walsh
Tara is another Game Of Thrones star, having played Selyse Baratheon on the show. Waking The Dead and Exodus: Gods And Kings are also among her acting credits.
Claire Rushbrook – plays Rose Morgan
Claire plays the mother of a missing child in Requiem, and was most recently seen in Channel 4 hit drama Kiri.
Sian Reese-Williams – plays Trudy
Soap fans will recognise Sian from Emmerdale, in which she played Gennie Sharma.
Requiem airs Friday nights at 9pm on BBC One. The whole series is available to watch on BBC iPlayer now.
