Survival of the Fittest will be hitting our screens later this week and Irish TV presenter Laura Whitmore can’t wait to jet off to the African Savanna to host the ultimate battle of the sexes.
The 32-year-old has been dating Love Island‘s presenter Iain Stirling since the summer and revealed that he is excited for the show to start so he can get the goss before anyone else.
Yes that’s right. This is a couple that’s ‘in the know’ and they’re not afraid to dish out the deets to each other before significant episodes are aired on TV.
Although they don’t talk about work too much at home, they do however like to draw out behind the scenes info from each other.
Laura confessed to being a ‘massive fan’ of Love Island, which last season peaked at 2.9 million viewers, and tells Metro.co.uk: ‘When Iain was over on the show I’d be like “Tell me some secrets and things, whats going on?” so that’s kind of more what he’d be telling me.’
She added: ‘He’d be like “I’m not allowed to tell you” but I’d say “Come on, tell me who’s leaving” and things like that.
‘I’m hoping he’ll be similar when watching this show like trying to get some little sneak peaks from me.’
Despite Laura relying on her own five year’s worth of experience of being a presenter, she has admitted to Iain, 30, passing on a couple of tips.
She confessed: ‘His good advice is how to get out of bed and go straight into a voice over and not have to worry about hair and make up.’

The show will see teams of boys and girls go head to head and compete in both mental and physical challenges – some may even be in the style of I’m A Celebrity’s Bushtucker Trials!
Survival of the Fittest begins on ITV2 on Sunday 11 February at 9pm.
